XBOX 360 Repair 3 Red Lights of Death Rrod X-Clamp Fix

This is a quick vid on fixing the 3 rlod in the Xbox 360. There are NO swaps in this video...it is the same xbox from start to finish. I've done about 20 of these the same way. If you want a more permanent in depth fix check my other videos

of course… the x-clamps, are simply clamps the hold the heat sinks tightly against the CPU and GPU chips. the red lights are caused by a heat sink problem. replacing the thermal compound, and re setting the heat sinks will restore it to working conditon, as long as you dont short the board that is. just be careful, and take your time. anyone can do this really.

Orr.. THose With an xbox 360 wiith 3 flashing red lights can send it to germany and it will get fixed for free. jus on the xbox website n i think its repair a console n its easy jus follow the instructions.

just learned the hard way. i bought an xbox 3 weeks ago and it already started freezing. sure enough about a day later those three damn rings showed up. I took it back for a new one yesterday only to have it start freezing today. Turns out the copy of cod mw2 i got from blockbuster is chipped, not on the disc part, but on the clear part where you put your finger when removing the disc. ha guess that can cause it too. just a heads up.
