The XBO360 is an awesome system & I love it, it is so cool! But the thing that I dread MOST about the 360 is that Red Ring of Death, beacuse of it I couldn’t play my 360 for years! I tried to fix it through the video showing me how to fix it and it still didn’t work! So $400 was wasted for me to just use the 360 for 3 years instead of a life time!

***edit*** Yes, this review was for the 360 Pro version. I found that out calling Microsoft tech support because, guess what, the system is already overheating and dying.
Plus, Microsoft also has no record of my XBox ever being refurbished, so there is no warranty on it. But the system DID work when it arrived and it has a suspicious little dated sticker on it indicating (I think) that it was repaired. Be aware that I DID NOT BUY this system from amazon.com. The company I did buy it from are working it out. The only question is: Which 360 system will I buy to replace this? 
This is my first Xbox in any form, bought recently as an X-Mas gift for the family (and myself of course) because of the low low price. What I love about this machine- 1) The controllers: The battery design is genius, easy to swap out, charge, or use AA batteries. 2) Xbox Game Arcade: Had I known I could play Carcassonne, Settlers of Catan and Magic the Gathering on an Xbox I would have bought one years ago. 3) Pandora Radio: Goodbye CDs. 4) Xbox Live rating system: Having to pay to be online probably attracts a “more mature” gamer to begin with (I assume), but the ability to choose between 4 ratings systems (Family, no cussing) now allows my kid to play online also. 5) No Home: Thank god (j/k Sony).
What I do NOT like- 1) The fan: Way, way too loud. 2) The DVD tray: Outdated clumsy design. 3) No built in wi-fi: What is this? 2001?
But those issues are very minor in the end. Which system is better? Both have good and bad things about them, you have to decide. Or just get both like I finally did.

I HAVE HAD MY XBOX FOR ABOUT TWO WEEKS AND IT WORKING VERY NICE. I WAS DOING A LITTLE RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT THAT THE XBOX REBURB. HAS THE JASPER CHIP SET IN THEM. THATS ALWAYS A PLUS. I WENT ON THE XBOX WEBSITE AND REGISTERED MY XBOX AND COME TO FOUND OUT THAT THE XBOX COMES WITH A ONE YEAR WARRANTY. I BOUGHT A EXTRA TWO YEAR WARRANTY ALSO. SO IF YOU DO THE MATH THATS THREE YEARS… THATS ADVANCE MATH….. ANOTHER GOOD THING ABOUT THIS XBOX IS THAT I COMES WITH A 20GB HARD DRIVE AND TWO CONTROLLERS,HDMI CABLE AND THE CONSOLE HAS THE HDMI INPUT…I THINK THAT THIS IS A BETTER DEAL THAN THE ARCADE VERSION. IF YOU HAVE A XBOX THAT HAVE THE THREE RED LIGHTS OR YOUR XBOX DOESN’T WORK, THIS ITEM IS A GREAT REPLACEMENT.
