dude only nerds buy a game soundtrack! these are just music thats from the level! no artists nothin! if u really like these beats just listen to them on the game! however there is this one song on halo 2 that sound goo (one w/ a electric gutair and is the level with the weird flying bugs and aalien snipers)
Rating: 1 / 5
Why the only three stars? Because of the (not so) audiophile quality. While the quality of the arrangements themselves are superb, the limited sonic life of the songs remind me to much of a lifeless General MIDI sound module and therefore lacks drive and FATNESS. If you are into audio post/production run it through some tube compressors (with low ratio of course) or a similar audio enhancement and your get close to the vibe this fantasic record deserves to sparkle with.

The musical tracks Halo the CD provide are power enough to manipulate one’s emotions, from aware and dread filled, to contemplative and surreal. It has power to implore questions and provide an onlook into the Halo universe without even showing you the game; those who have played Halo will identify and refer to this music; those who have not will enjoy it all the same. Put simply, it is a relative masterpiece, that invokes and unsettles, that can deploy beautiful notes, yet summon nail biiting sharp notes in a succesive rate, creating an atmospheric level of playing and listening. Fully recomended.
