There are quite a few super jumps in halo2, one is what Austin and  I call a tank jump.  To do this you must   have  a scorpion  tank and an over shield, if you don't have an over shield you will probably kill yourself but whatever. drive the tank up a wall until it flips the jump on the center of the front left wheel and wright when you land flip the tank, and if you don't get very high just keep trying and you'll make it sometime. we try to go higher than the mountains to see a ring that circles the arena or higher.
